Ask about previous salon colour, home colour and other relevant treatments. IN CHAIR provides a place for history and references, but the consultation record is not an assessment of chemical compatibility. Use your training, in-person examination and manufacturer guidance to make service decisions.

Discuss how the look may need to be maintained and how often the guest wants to return. Agree on a direction that accounts for their routine and budget. Keep your formula and placement notes private, with the client-facing explanation in the shared plan.
