Terms of service

Eligibility and professional access

You must be at least 18 and able to enter into an agreement to use IN CHAIR. Provide accurate account and professional information, use your own credentials and comply with applicable laws. This release is for adult consultations only.

Professional access requires IN CHAIR approval. A licence number alone does not prove validity. Review is manual and may use the issuing authority or qualification evidence. Approval is permission to use professional app features, not a regulatory certification or a guarantee of continuing licence validity. Keep your status current. Updating approved credentials returns professional access to review; that submission does not cancel an existing subscription.

What IN CHAIR provides

IN CHAIR supports consultations, hair planning, service pricing, client records, professional references and aftercare. It does not provide medical diagnosis, replace an in-person assessment, guarantee hair results or issue permission to perform a regulated service. Stylists remain responsible for their qualifications, consent, product instructions, testing, chemical decisions and salon services.

Appointment booking and collecting payment from salon clients are not included. Stylists set and are responsible for their own service prices and agreements. Membership payments are for IN CHAIR access and are separate from salon charges.

Subscriptions and the trial

Professional is USD 24 per month or USD 240 per year. Professional + Discover is USD 44 per month or USD 440 per year. Salon is USD 129 per month or USD 1,290 per year and includes five stylist seats; each additional seat up to 50 is USD 10 per month or USD 100 per year. Annual plans are charged as one yearly payment. Applicable taxes are shown at checkout. Client access is free and IN CHAIR does not add a commission to salon bookings.

An eligible account’s first IN CHAIR subscription receives a seven-day trial, with a payment method required. The trial starts when subscription checkout is completed, not when credentials are submitted. Unless cancelled before the trial ends, the selected subscription price is charged and renews automatically each month or year until cancelled. Returning subscribers do not receive another trial.

Checkout shows the selected plan, seat count, price and recurrence and requires acceptance. Stripe manages payment collection and the billing portal. An eligible promotion code may be entered on Stripe checkout; its amount, duration, eligible plans, redemption limit and expiry are governed by the offer displayed there. Codes may not be combined unless checkout expressly permits it. We may change future pricing with advance notice and any consent required by applicable law; you may cancel before a changed renewal takes effect.

Cancellation, payment issues and refunds

Open Membership → Manage membership to cancel renewal or update payment details. During a trial, cancel before it ends to avoid the first charge. Cancellation of a paid subscription ordinarily preserves access through the current paid period. Refunds are governed by the cancellation and refund policy and any mandatory rights.

Failed, unpaid or inactive subscriptions can restrict paid operations. Existing records remain readable under the current app workflow, and connected clients retain access to their shared plans. Deleting a dossier or losing professional approval does not automatically cancel Stripe billing. Account deletion requires subscription renewal to be cancelled first. If you cannot use the portal, contact Support for assistance.

Your content and client relationships

You retain rights in content you submit. You give Well Foran LLC and its service providers the permission needed to host, store, display, process and transmit that content to operate IN CHAIR, including sharing with the accounts you authorise. This permission does not grant a right to use private client content in advertising.

Submit only content you are entitled to use, obtain the permissions needed from your clients and provide required privacy notices. Avoid unnecessary sensitive details and do not upload government identity documents, payment-card details or a minor’s information. Stylists are responsible for their independent salon records and client relationship.

IN CHAIR branding, interface and original editorial content belong to their respective owners. You may use professional resources within your authorised practice; do not resell, bulk extract or republish protected content without permission.

Acceptable use and account security

Do not impersonate another person, falsify credentials, share an account to evade membership or salon-seat limits, access other users’ records without permission, upload unlawful content, interfere with the service or bypass access controls. Each salon teammate must use their own approved account. Salon owners manage roster access but do not gain access to a teammate’s private client records through the roster. Report suspected account compromise promptly.

We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, payment issues, professional eligibility or security. Where appropriate we will explain the reason and offer a way to contact Support. Export or billing rights required by law remain protected.

Availability, records and responsibility

The service may be interrupted for maintenance, errors or provider outages. Keep appropriate independent records and do not rely on IN CHAIR as your only copy of information essential to your business. The account export is not a complete backup of original photos or provider billing records.

To the extent permitted by law, IN CHAIR is provided as available without a promise of uninterrupted operation, guaranteed business income or a particular service result. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. We do not require mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver in these terms.

Changes, concerns and ending use

We publish the current terms and version date in the app. Material changes will be notified appropriately and any new agreement required by law will be requested. Contact Support to raise a concern; mandatory local rights and access to competent courts remain unaffected.

To stop future charges, cancel membership. To remove your IN CHAIR account information, use the permanent deletion control in Account after cancellation. Billing providers may retain records required for transactions, disputes or law.
